Ego Casino Review - Bonus Codes, Free Spins & More

In today's review of Ego Casino, we'll be doing a thorough analysis of their most important features and see exactly why this casino has the potential to become one of the greatest. It is available in a couple of languages like English, German, Polish, Chinese and Russian, making it one of the most popular international online casinos on the m arket. Along with that, it is available in various currencies such as Euros, Polish zlotys, and Russian rubles, making it a popular casino amongst European and Russian players. It also needs to be said that US and UK players are restricted from using this casino.
Regardless of the country restrictions, there is a lot to research and review about this casino. In the past few months, it got on a good foot with new players thanks to a generous no deposit free spins offer. But, there is much more to review and uncover. So let's get this review started and find out what earned Ego Casino their review ratings so fast amongst the online gambling communities.

Ego Casino Sign-Up Bonus And Promos

We thought it would be a great way to start this review on a positive note, so we've decided to review the promos like no deposit free spins and reloads available at Ego Casino. Upon our review of their promo selection, we were quite impressed by their offer. Being a new online casino they have to be able to attract new members and no deposit free spins promotions and rewards are a great strategy. Let's have a look at some of the most sought-after rewards and their availability in this exciting casino.
>> Claim Free Spins Bonuses <<

No Deposit Bonus/Free Spins Bonus

One of the most requested bonus rewards amongst new players is the no deposit bonus. The no deposit bonus gives new players a chance to play some casino games right after they signup, no deposit needed. The no deposit bonus mainly includes free spins, but in some cases, the no deposit bonus might include free chips or cash instead of free spins. The purpose of the no deposit promo remains the same though - to promote games and offer players a chance to test the casino and review the game selection. Upon our review of the bonus section at Ego Casino, we've noted that they do not have an active any deposit bonus at this time.
If you are specifically looking for a no deposit promo like free spins or cash, make sure to wait a bit and review the casino's website. No deposit free spins promos become often available as a part of new promotions for new game releases.
However, we've also noted that in order to make up for their lack of a no deposit bonus, they offer a fairly generous welcome offer. Namely, the Ego Casino welcome promo is a 100% first deposit bonus for up to €500 and an additional 50 free spins, no bonus code required. Furthermore, there are three versions of this reward: Basic, Silver, and Gold. All of them differ in terms of how big of a deposit you make, resulting in a larger reward and more free spins. If you want to learn more about this and other promo rewards, head over to the Ego website and review it under the Promotions tab.

Cashback Bonus

Another promo that is popular amongst online casinos and their players is the cashback bonus. This promo gives players part of their wager back when they lose, giving them a fighting chance. Upon our review of the Promotions section at Ego Casino, we've noted that they do in fact have a cashback bonus. There are two types as well. The first one is called Weekly Cashback, where depending on your member status you either get 10-15% cashback which is calculated according to the deposits you've made. The cash is put back in your account every Sunday. The other one is called the Weekly 50% VIP Bonus. To activate it you'll need a bonus code which you can find on their website under the Promotions tab. There you can also learn more about this promo as it is thoroughly reviewed and explained in detail.

High Roller Bonus

The High Roller bonus is a promo that is reserved for a special group of casino members that like to spend big bucks. These are also known as VIP members and VIPs often receive special treatment in terms of additional rewards such as a higher cashback bonus, more free spins or even priority when it comes to withdrawing funds. Upon our review of EgoCasino, we've noted that they have a Loyalty Program, where depending on your level, you get extra benefits. You gain levels by collecting E-coins that can later be spent for other bonus rewards. If you want to learn more about the Ego Casino loyalty program head over to their website and review it under the Promotions tab.

Weekly Reload Bonus

The Weekly Reload bonus can be any kind of benefit that players can get a hold on during a specific day of the week. Upon our review of the available bonus rewards at Ego Casino, we've noted that they have a couple of interesting weekly offers. We've already mentioned the Weekly Cashback bonus in this review, but there are more offers.
For instance, Ego Casino offers a Morning Up Bonus and a Twilight Bonus. Both are active from Monday through Friday but during different time frames. The Morning promo is active from 4 am -8 am, while the Twilight Bonus is active between 12 AM-4 AM. They also differ in terms of feature, the Twilight promo offers 50% for up to €1,000, while the morning offers the same, plus additional 20 free spins. In addition to these Weekly offers, Ego includes a weekend promo called Upgraded Weekend. Here you'll be able to get a 40% deposit bonus for up to €500. Overall, Ego Casino is very generous when it comes to bonuses.

EGO Casino Games & Software Providers Available

We've mentioned in this review that Ego Casino can brag about having a large games library. We did a review of the game selection at Casino Ego and to be honest we were quite impressed. They include some of the most popular game categories like slot games, table games, sports betting, and even live games. The games at Ego Casino are provided a courtesy to world-renown software providers like Play'n GO, Microgaming, Quickspin, Big Time Gaming, Evolution Gaming and many more.

Slot Games

First of all, let's have a look at their slots selection. Ego Casino offers a wide range of slot games that meet the needs of every slots lover. Over here you can find classical 3-reel slots for those who love retro games, as well as modern slot games, with state of the art visual and graphics. The latter also includes cool in-game bonus features like wilds, free spins and scatter symbols. Upon our review, we've noted that some of their most popular titles include games like Book of Dead, Vikings Go Wild, Big Bad Wolf, and many more.
Live Dealer games are run in real-time via a live video stream by a real human dealer. Players can join the table and play against other players or against the dealer, depending on the game. Games that saw the biggest change for the better with this innovation are traditional casino games that could not have been imagined without a dealer in the first place. These include the likes of Roulette, Baccarat, Blackjack, and Poker. Upon our review of the games at Ego Casino, we've noted that they in fact include live dealer games and in the following part of this review, we're going to have a look at some of the available choices they have to offer.
Live Baccarat - Live Baccarat is amongst the many live games choices at Ego. Upon our review, we've noted that they include variants like the game Classical Baccarat, Dragon Tiger, and many more It has to be mentioned that there are betting limits in place, in order to accommodate players from different economic backgrounds.
Live Blackjack - Live Blackjack is another live game option at Ego Casino. Upon our review of the live games at this casino, we've noted that Blackjack is available in multiple variants, such as: Classical Blackjack, Common Draw Blackjack, Blitz Blackjack, and more. Naturally, there are various tables with different betting limits, in order to provide a fun experience for all players, regardless of their financial status.
Live Roulette - Live Roulette is probably the live game with the most choices at Ego. You can choose from variants like European or American Roulette, in addition to that, you can choose rooms with specific languages, such as Turkish, Russian, and German. It goes without saying that there are betting limits here as well in order to provide a fair gambling experience for all players, regardless of their pocket size.
Other Table Games - There are other table game choices available too, with the most popular being Poker. Upon our review, we've noted that they include variants like 3 Card Stud and Hold'Em. There are betting limits in place here as well, so you can expect High Roller and Low Roller tables.

Compatibility: Desktop & Ego Casino's Mobile Casino App

Since there are a lot of different devices on the market today, it is extremely important for an online casino to be compatible with all of them in order to be accessible to more users. Upon our review of Ego, we've learned that they are a mobile-friendly site, compatible with all devices, including PC, tablet, and mobile as well as operating systems such as iOS and Android.
The Ego Casino games are available in instant play, which means that you won't need to download any additional app or software. All you got to do is use your device and open the browser to access the casino. The experience quality remains the same regardless of what device you use.

Top Security Protocols & Customer Service at Ego Casino

When it comes to security Ego Casino are doing a pretty good job. Even though they are a new and not so experience casino, their security isprotocols are pretty tight. Upon our review of Ego and their security measures, we've noted that they are using high-level SSL encryption in order to protect their players' transactions and their data from harm. It has to be mentioned that Ego Casino is licensed and falls under the regulations of Curacao.
As far as customer support goes, Ego Casino is doing the most that they can in order to be available to their players. Their website includes a 24/7 live chat where English and Russian speaking players can ask for help. In addition to that, there is a support e-mail and a phone number if there is a need for any further assistance.

Ego Casino Complaints Reviewed

Closely tied to the customer care is the willingness of a casino to review and resolve complaints filed against them. At the time of writing this review, we weren't able to find a single complaint filed against this casino. To be fair, it is a new casino and it will take time to see how they handle themselves in the long run.

5 Consecutive Years (1827 Days) of Dokkan

https://imgur.com/a/Wsm00yt
For me, it has been 5 years since I first downloaded Dokkan Battle. Like most of you, I started out this game because I was a big fan of Dragon Ball Z. My fandom included owning the original Pioneer VHS tapes, to playing the original Score DBZ CCG and the subsequent but short-lived sequel made by Panini, to being able to attend the World Premiere of Resurrection F in LA.
I’ve been fairly quiet on Reddit as of recently, but have used this community as a resource to beat challenging events (SBR, LGE, etc.), and getting information on future summons. I hope that reading this post gives you a sense of nostalgia, advice if you need it, and just general perspective.
Year 1:
A more in-depth 1st year:
https://www.reddit.com/DBZDokkanBattle/comments/4w22ig/365_days_login_a_f2p_story/
Find your favorite gif involving crazy, huh, wtf, jaw drops and insert them here. That was Year 1 of Dokkan for me. I had no idea of team building, links, etc. If you ever played a TCG like Pokemon or Magic and just jammed your first decks with your favorite foils and rare cards you had; that was my first Dokkan team building experience. Very little synergy. We really didn’t have dedicated leader skills that provided ki and boosts. There was a point where I felt accomplished because I could field a full UR team.
The Dokkan Medal event grinds were particularly brutal in-game events because their power level was so much higher unless you had the right units, which obviously required pulling on banners. In other gatcha games, these were raiders, great units specially for that event (SSR AGL SS Kid Trunks for Broly, the Androids for Cell, etc). For another perspective, we grinded these events for 1 medal drops. We needed a total of 11 to Dokkan a unit. And it was never even a guarantee that you were going to beat the event. Truly had to be lucky and resourceful with your items. I know I probably wasted some stones to continue the event and finish it for 1 MEDAL!
As far as summons go, I think a lot of the community were very much, “It’s new! Summon!” I eventually realized that Japan was a head of us in the Dokkan timeline, so I could really start to strategically plan which units did I want to try to get rather than pull aimlessly. Broly was the first unit I had future knowledge of so I saved for that unit. This is a mentality that I continue to have to this day: figure out the next great banner and save for that.
The first World Tournaments were some of the longest grindfests I had ever seen. This is my old man on the porch moment of “Back in my day, we had to get 100 Wins for a GSSR.” If I recall correctly, we did not have a GSSR for a Multi on our Dragon Stone summons. So, I originally saw the World Tournaments as ways to get GSSR. Unfortunately, to this day, the WT exclusives aren’t game-breaking; they’re more trophy units. I can recall those first WTs and thinking I might try to go for top to try to get the exclusive but realizing that the time commitment, stones, and lack of use of the WT exclusive led me to just go for the GSSR and save the stones for pulls.
STR Broly, the first AOE in Dokkan, was probably the most desired unit and one that I saved the most for at the time. Given how World Tournaments were run, Broly could be a literal time saver. I recall pulling a lot trying to get Broly but didn’t get him until before the 2nd Anniversary. I recall a moment where I had created and rerolled another account on a separate device just to see if I could Broly. Well, it just so happened I did. I was at a true crossroads of “Do I make this my main?” For a small amount of time, I was running both accounts, but I choose to eventually let go of that alt with Broly because I had pulled TEQ Majin Vegeta and knew it was going to Dokkan to be an AOE so it was a fair substitute for Broly. Plus, I was saving for Super Gogeta on the main, which I had pulled upon his release in the 1st Anniversary. That was enough to say, this is my main. Even if doesn’t have Broly on it.
Prior to the STR Super Gogeta release, I also inspired to write the original: ‘Twas the Night Before Gogeta: one of my proudest Reddit moments. https://www.reddit.com/DBZDokkanBattle/comments/4rpkmp/a_dokkan_poem_twas_the_night_before_gogeta/
Year 2:
A more in-depth 2nd year:
https://www.reddit.com/DBZDokkanBattle/comments/6st41n/a_2_year_reflection_of_dokkan/
After pulling STR Super Gogeta and STR SS3 Goku, I felt having a full Over in a Flash team was stellar. Double STR Super Gogeta lead plus OIAF gave +9 Ki to Unit 1 and 3 and +12 Ki to the middle Unit. Spamming Supers became the name of the game, especially in World Tournament. Now with STR Super Gogeta in hand, the in-game events and quests became much more doable.
Probably the most significant event of this year was Prime Battle LR SS Goku. This introduced Global to the first LR. At the time, you had to only use Strike and drop units to complete it. For a reference point, the optimal team was INT Chilled lead with Mecha Frieza, Android 16, King Vegeta, etc. And the main event was 50 Stamina, not the 25 that they are now. Farming any and all drop units is the equivalent to forcing a child to eat their vegetables. You may not like it, but it is in your best interest to do so. That can now be seen with the current EZAs that are limiting who can be brought into the event. (For the record, with the incoming EZA for LR SS Goku, I will not be grinding out another 777 medals for 5 SA. I will gladly use 5 Elder Kais.)
Remember SSR Broly and how I was going crazy for him? Year 2 was when the LR form of him came out. And history repeats itself again lol. Now this is a spoiler alert, but I pulled LR Broly…on the 5th year 200 DS Guaranteed LR Banner. It’s been that long. However, with the shifts to WT and LR Broly friends at high enough ranks, it did not become necessary to have LR Broly in my box.
Overall, Year 2 was a lot of the same. World Tournament. Dokkan Fest. Repeat. With knowledge of AGL Super Vegito on Japan coming at our 2nd year Anniversary, that became the next unit for stone saving. The first tank and counter unit, Super Vegito did not disappoint. It also was a shift from Rainbow teams to more structured teams based on color. So AGL became the top team, INT not being far behind but the other 3 clearly far behind them. Two Rares, Oceanus Shenron and Muraski, became optimal on Super AGL for their sealing; that’s when you know the team is badass. This team held their own, but the 120% meta was coming. The end of year 2 was bringing STR SS4 Goku and AGL SS4 Vegeta. I was lucky to pull SS4 Goku, but not SS4 Vegeta. This would be the first significant meta-defining unit I did not pull. But 1 out of 2 was not bad.
Finally, Year 2 introduced Global’s Hidden Potential System. A staple still in Dokkan today, but I could not tell you how many reddit posts there were for “What do I unlock?” or “Crit or Dodge?” But the worst was having to open up EVERY. SINGLE. NODE. ONE. BY. ONE. New players today won’t know the pain lol. Let me sum up Hidden Potential System 101: Bottom right and top left first. Most cases: Crit > AA > Dodge. AA > Crit if the Super stacks something like Attack or Defense, especially if the stack is infinite. Dodge if the Unit is very much support and can’t take any hits nor give out any hits.
Year 3:
Year 3 of Dokkan was where the difficulty level of the game jumped the most. Honestly, this was probably the golden age of Dokkan. 120% leads were coming and it brought some level of parody. A fair amount of the teams with their 120 leads could be viable in a lot of events. And with the looming Super Battle Roads coming, you know you need something in every category if you wanted to complete all of them.
Where Dokkan decided to implement a WWE-style-glass-break-theme-music and Stone Cold Steve Austin entrance was SS4 Gogeta and Omega Shenron as 150% leads in the middle of the 120% leads releases. This gave the community a glimpse into the direction of leads and it was another breath of fresh air. We would get categories as our primary way of building teams and it’s still very much implemented today at the 5th year anniversary going into Year 6 and beyond. I personally was fortunate enough to pull SS4 Gogeta and Fusions became my primary. (No Omega Shenron pulled though, but I wasn’t disappointed.) However, I did know that I was still likely needing to pull on the 120 lead banners for the incoming SBR Stages 1-10. I recall limiting myself to a budget on the 120 banners. Either discounts, multis and tickets, but nothing to bankrupt myself stone wise. With the way the game was progressing, there was always going to be something new and game-defining so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t left behind. (This would eventually be the incoming LR SS Gogeta duo and Vegito duo.) I wanted to give myself the best chance of not being left behind and making sure I didn’t spend too much on sub-par banners.
We also started seeing older units getting rebirths or Dokkan Awakenings. These would be great in principle, but I don’t recall many earning slots onto a significant team. Others can chime in here. More LRs from Rising Dragon Carnivals or Legendary Summon banners would come but most of these LRs ok, but not great. (LR Trunks, Boujack, etc.).
Year 3 also brought along two free LR units, LR Vegito Blue and LR 1000 Day Goku. Some players were pissed that we needed Prepared for Battle units to complete all the missions associated with LR Vegito Blue. I was fortunate that it did not really affect me and I completed the missions without much difficultly. Regarding 1000 Day Goku, I thought it was a great way for fan service: not game breaking, but serviceable as a substitute rainbow lead. (These would start to see more use in the future Virtual Battlefield/Ultimate Clash.)
EZAs would also be introduced with AGL SS3 Goku. Fairly grindy, but another good way for Dokkan to keep older units relevant. Otherwise, this game would always be “Pull on the new unit banner!” And with some of the events rewarding players with larger boxes or being able to flexible teams (current restricted EZA events), it became more that there was a sense of needing to collect units as well, even if they were not game breaking or meta relevant.
Super Battle Road would also be introduced in Year 3. Probably the hardest category of events to this day. This event would truly let tanks (AGL Golden Frieza, STR SS3 Vegeta), AOEs (LR STR Broly), and stunners and sealers (PHY Gotenks) would really earn their spot in Dokkan. My SBR mentality was also Stage 1 = No items. Stage 2 = 2 Items. Stage 3 hopefull you Dokkan attack. Stage 4 use all of your items. I never actually beat an SBR until 3rd Anniversary and LR Potara Duo were available. On the bottom is a link to all my SBR wins.
The end of Year 3 brought the much anticipated LR Potara and Fusion Duos at the 3rd Anniversary. These guys made their respective SBRs much more doable with their built in Senzu Bean transformation. Like a fine wine, these two would get better as time went on with introductions of the Kamehameha and Joined Forces categories.
Year 4:
Much like Year 2 was to Year 1, Year 4 felt like a continuation of similar events in Year 3. Year 4 brought us more EZAs, more LRs (both free like Prime Battle Trunks and summonable), World Tournaments and Dokkan Fests. It became clear that LRs in general were going to be the standard moving forward in regards to gameplay. The tricky part was navigating which LRs were worth it. For me, it was hard but using this subreddit and the knowledge of Japan’s timeline made it a little easier. It was almost a certainty that the Anniversary LRs would be worth it. I believe I skipped most of the banners except TEQ Goku & Frieza, but never managed to pull the duo until recently.
Some of the more unique units to come were the Transforming Goku, Frieza, and Vegeta. I believe these are glimpse into more of the future of Dokkan. It would not surprise me if LR versions of these unit concepts come in the future. We currently see them but they are either locked by an active skill or condition needed (HP, Team member needed, etc.), not one that transforms automatically.
The Dokkan Punch Machine was introduced during this year. This is one of the few events I haven’t completed, specifically the no item stages 1 to 3. These definitely require a little luck and patience. But please don’t feel discouraged if you don’t complete these events right away. They don’t go away, and over time, you’ll get units and dupes to make this event easier.
Ultimate Clash (or Virtual Battlefield 2.0 in Japan) would be one of the major game updates to Dokkan in Year 4. After watching the mess that Virtual Battlefield 1.0 was in Japan, seeing the 2.0 version was relieving. This event favors the longer time players who have accumulated lots of units in their box (or the whales who spend a lot on banners lol). While trying to manage these teams some of things I consider are at least 1 team per faction and color combination (70 units), 1 F2P team that takes out boss 1 (was Namek Gohan and Ginyu Force. Now that team is Team Bardock and AGL Broly), a team of stunners/sealers (Great Saiyaman stage), extra Rainbow leads (1000 Day Goku, SBR Gohan, SBR Goku, LR Vegito Blue, etc.)
Prior to the 4th Anniversary, Global learned about the Coin System. This was a very refreshing update to the game. Allowing players an outlet to not feel completely shafted and could use their coins to get the units they wanted. My stone saving was aimed at the 4th Anniversary SS4 Goku and SS4 Vegeta, and particularly began when the coins were announced. 4th Anniversary I went ham. Managing both SS4 units, my first Fusion Duo and a couple Potara duo dupes. Having the coins in your back pocket was a very welcoming safety net.
Year 5:
If you are still reading this, more power to you. I won’t go to in depth because (a) it’s again a lot of the same: WT, DokkanFest, Ultimate Clash, etc. and (b) you probably played through part of it so you recall a lot of it too.
Two things stand out for me during Year 5. The New Years Banner and Kale & Caulifa’s LR debut.
For the New Years banner, this is mainly a “learn from my mistake” moment. I had enough Red Coins at the time for LR GoBros. But for some reason I burned through a couple hundred stones seeing if I could pull them and keep me stones (Essentially, trying to have my cake and eat it too) and never getting them. So I was out some stones for a future banner and ended up having to use my red coins to acquire GoBros. Had I just used the coins prior to summoning, then I would have more stones for future banners. Pro Tip: If you’re chasing a unit that you can just get with coins, get it with coins. Save the stones for future banners. The coins will replenish themselves.
LR Kale & Caulifa stand out to me because it was the Legendary Banner (yellow coin) that I would commit myself to pulling for. The hype was real and I definitely pulled the sisters and that became my ultimate flex and current team to run (up until 5th Anniversary).
Fighting Legend: Goku (or LGE) was nice new addition to challenge the player base. I personally like trying to find teams that would knock out multiple missions (Thanks to this reddit, I found a 4-in-1 Potara, Time Travelers, Future, Realm of Gods team. 3-in-1 for me because I had already beaten Potara)
Final reflections:
So, the ultimate question probably is “Why am I still playing?” There’s honestly not much left for me to do. I do the weekly Ultimate Clashes when they come out, daily missions, etc. I still need to do Punch Machine Stages 1-3, but I don’t feel a huge pressure to finish it out. It’ll happen eventually. With my spare Stamina, I’ve been trying to rank up to 999 (currently at 866), but again, don’t feel a ton of great pressure to complete it yet. I look forward to when E. SBR is released. As a fan of Dragon Ball, I’ve liked that they have implemented content from all franchises including DB, Z, GT, Super, SDBH, and even bringing in Arale! I have not let the game be my end all be all. In the past 5 years, I have traveled to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay. I just honestly found ways and downtime to play the game. Dokkan has become more of a collecting game for myself. I’m currently only missing 8 LRs, and they range from LR Bardock to Nappa/Vegeta. There are still moments of excitement when I summon and pull a desired unit. There are still moments of relief when I complete difficult events (most recently the LGE missions.) Whatever Dokkan is for you, I hope you remember that at its roots, it is a game and it is meant to be fun.
One thing about this game that truly makes me smile is how it (along with DBS) have really brought in a new generation of Dragon Ball fans. If you would have told me 15 years ago that Dragon Ball would still be as popular as it is (probably even more popular than before), I would have laughed it off and called you crazy. As a high school teacher, I've seen some of my students get the game (and DB Legends, but we won't get into that discussion) and ask to see my box or ask for advice on their team. I hope the fandom for Dokkan and Dragon Ball continue to grow in the future.
As far as in-game tips, I would emphasize the following:
What I would like to see:
(In classic DBZ Announcer End of Episode voice.)
Will the streak continue on to Year 6? Will new banners and unit change the meta again? Will another event be introduced to challenge all players? Find out next time on Dragon Ball: Dokkan Battle!

[FULL REVIEW] [4.75 / 5 stars] MSI GE75 Raider 17" vs. Lenovo Legion 5i 17" with Intel Core i7-10750H & RTX 2060 [Lots of Pictures] [Part 2]

[FULL REVIEW] [4.75 / 5 stars] MSI GE75 Raider 17
This is the rest of my review... Part 1 can be found here.

Bottom Panel and Feet
  • MSI has additional open vents on its bottom panel. The angular feets may cause issues with certain laptop stands.
  • Lenovo only has two open vents for the CPU and GPU fans. Lenovo decided to put a questionable el-cheapo dust filter over the heatpipe area. The quality of this filter can be found on very cheap PC cases that comes with a dust filter. This filter is permanently stamped into the bottom panel and cannot be removed. The Legion 7i doesn't have this filter in place.
  • Winner: MSI because if you use a laptop cooler, you can also cool your RAM, M.2 slots, and 2.5" drive bay.
Removing the bottom panel
  • MSI requires you to break its virginity seal (Factory Seal) in order to get access to a screw underneath it. This sticker is razer thin and cannot be carefully peeled up without damaging it. Opening the bottom panel is hard the first time. You just need a screw driver and plastic prying tool. The second time you do it, it will be a lot easier because there are plastic tabs around the edge of the bottom panel that will break off. It will make it really easy to pull off the bottom panel the next time you do it. Unplugging the battery is very easy.
    • Recommended to start on the side with the headphone/mic jacks to lift the panel off of these jacks first then all other sides will be easy to separate. You also need to insert the panel starting on this side too when putting it back together.
  • Lenovo is a lot harder to remove because the vent area is where I had the most problems with. It can be difficult to remove because I had to force my prying tool under the vent in order to release it from the tabs. These tabs don't break off like with the MSI GE75. The second and third time I took off the bottom panel, it was as hard as the first time.
  • Winner: MSI

https://preview.redd.it/qqup9oxoiwv51.jpg?width=1186&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=896a1b4cedba917cf6be165ca3ba066e79c11bf7
Upgrading laptop parts:
  • MSI has all user-upgradable parts:
    • [Storage #1] M.2 NVME or SATA SSD + two thermal pads underneath M.2 NVME SSD
    • [Storage #2] 1x M.2 NVME SSD
      • Screw is included but no extra thermal pads.
    • [Storage #3] 1x 2.5" HDD/SSD
    • Up to 64 GB DDR4 2666 MHZ DDR4 ram in Dual Channel
    • Network card
    • Battery - easy to remove
  • Lenovo has all user-upgradable parts:
    • [Storage #1] 1x M.2 NVME SSD
    • [Storage #2] 1x 2.5" HDD/SSD or 2nd M.2 NVME SSD
      • You can only have a M.2 SSD or 2.5" storage drive. You have to remove the 2.5" drive in order to reuse the special standoff bracket in order to mount your M.2 SSD to it. This bracket can be adjusted for full length (M.2 2240) and half-length (M.2 2242).
      • There is also a screw hole stand-off near the insertion port of the 2nd M.2 SSD slot. This might interfere with M.2 SSDs with NAND chips on bottom side of the PCB. You might be limited to 1 or 2 TB SSD. 4 and 8 TB SSD might have thicker NAND chips on the bottom of the PCB that may cause it not to fit. I also don't know if this is removable.
    • Up to 64 GB DDR4 2933MHz ram in Dual channel
    • Network card
    • Battery - requires tweezers to remove the tiny connector that is tightly plugged in.
  • Winner: MSI gives you 3x storage options! I don't know who designed and approved the internal layout of the Legion 5i 17", this entire group of people need to get a pay cut. This is the worst internal layout management I've seen in a 17" chassis. If Lenovo ditched the 2.5" drive bay, they could have added a 3rd NVME slot or a subwoofer. Next up is the Asus ROG Strix 17" but at least this laptop gives you 3x M.2 slots, and they could have fit a subwoofer in the empty corner.
  • Download to see Lenovo's Chassis Space pictures.zip (32 mb)
Repasting Thermal Compound:
  • MSI uses thermal paste on the chokes, VRMs, CPU, and GPU. There are some thermal pads on some components. They use K5 Pro non-conductive thermal paste on the chokes or VRMs. This will require extra work to clean. For warranty purposes, you might have to buy and use the same paste and use any other paste your CPU and GPU. This based on watching YouTube videos. If you decide to use thermal pads, it will be a trial and error process.
  • Lenovo uses thermal pads instead of a thermal paste on the VRMs and chokes. This will make it a lot easier to repaste.
  • Winner: Lenovo
Laptop Software:
  • MSI Dragon Center is controls your fans, allows you to overclock your GPU, and change laptop modes. You can set your laptop to stop charging at 60%. It has a battery calibration tool you can use once every 3 months to keep your battery in good health. You can enable/disable the webcam, USB LEDs, on-screen crosshairs and switch the Fn and Windows Key. There's other stuff in here that caters to a gamer.
  • Lenovo Vantage allows you to turn laptop features on and off. There's a built-in hardware diagnostic scan to see if your laptop is working or not. There's no manual fan control. There are tutorials and more company marketing material. No one gives a shit about this. You can also stop the battery from charging and disable the webcam.
  • Winner: Tie because they both work.
  • Download to see Lenovo Vantage.zip (54 Mb) or MSI Dragon Center.zip (12 Mb)
Coil whine issue:
  • MSI has coil whine. The first laptop I bought had it. This third laptop I'm using right now has it too. To me, it sounds like a beeping sound. It doesn't bother me because I have a lot of background noise like HVAC (air conditioner), planes flying by, kids running and playing outside, and people blasting loud music from their cars.
    • This can be fixed by disabling C-Step under the Advance tab in the BIOS. This will effect your battery life because it will prevent the CPU from dropping below its base clock speed. I always use my laptop plugged in, so it's not a big deal to me.
  • Lenovo has no coil whine because they put some sort of metal cover on their RAM, network card, and NVME SSD. This maybe provides some EMF shielding. On the other hand, I was probably lucky.
  • Winner: Tie This all depends on whether or not you can hear the frequencies of the coil whine. Some people cannot hear coil whine even though it's happening in their laptop. Some people are sensitive and to them it's a high pitch whine that drives them crazy.

https://preview.redd.it/9ig40hpriwv51.jpg?width=1478&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c5ef3221e2e322e8a9daa31c3d3b9604653658ce
Fan Noise
  • MSI
    • Silent and Balanced - is a mixture of silent (no fan noise) between quiet (low fan noise). The left edge of the keyboard chassis can get warm to hot, but this isn't an area I touch unless you rest your pinky and ring fingers there.
    • Extreme Performance - Quiet to Loud (maximum fan noise) depending on what you do.
    • For do basic tasks, it's 75% silent and 25% quiet. The fans are working, but it's not loud. It's safe to use this in your work, school, or library.
    • For gaming, the fans will become loud no matter if you use Silent or Balanced. Since this laptop gives you manual fan control, you can reduce the fan noise by setting your own fan curve.
  • Lenovo
    • Office and Balanced - is a mixture of silent (no fan noise) between quiet (low fan noise).
    • Extreme Performance - Quiet to Loud (maximum fan noise) depending on what you do.
    • For do basic tasks, it's silent 99% of the time but the fans can ramp up once in awhile if you open 5+ tabs all at once or do file compression/decompression. It's safe to use this in your work, school, or library.
    • For gaming, the fans will become loud no matter if you use Office or Balanced. No manual fan control through the Vantage application or BIOS.
  • Winner: MSI because it has manual fan control in the Dragon Center. You can adjust the fan curve, so you could play some games in a library or at work. Keep in mind, if you use a custom fan curve, the GPU is capped at 90-100 watts.
    • 65% fan speed is acceptable fan noise with CPU and GPU averaging 75C and the keyboard area including WASD may become hot.
    • If you want 100% silent, I set it maximum of 25% fan speed (1500 rpm) for CPU only. The GPU never turns on. This is only recommended for basic tasks. Laptop idles around 45C to 65C depending on what I do. The keyboard is cool to the touch but may become slightly warm in the middle.

Performance time
MSI

MSI

Lenovo

Lenovo
Gaming Performance with an RTX 2060 6 GB
I used both laptops flat on my desk without a cooling pad or laptop stand to raise the laptop up. I also do not undervolt or disable Turbo Boost. I keep them stock.
  • MSI on Extreme Performance mode with boost to 115W
    • COD: Modern Warfare on high settings with no motion blur and no ray tracing: 90 to 130 fps
    • Just Cause 3 on Ultra settings: 80 to 120 fps
    • Killing Floor 2 on ultra settings with no motion blur: 100 to 120 fps
    • CPU will hit 95C and will thermal throttle while GPU stays around 80C.
      • Disabling Turbo Boost will drop temperatures to around 70C for CPU and GPU, but the fan noise will stay the same unless you create a custom fan curve.
Lenovo on Performance mode with boost to 90W
  • COD: Modern Warfare on high settings with no motion blur and no ray tracing: 80 to 110 fps
  • Just Cause 3 on ultra settings: 80 to 100 fps.
  • Killing Floor 2 on ultra settings with no motion blur: 80 to 90 fps.
  • CPU will can hit 95C but will not thermal throttle but the GPU stays around 80C.
    • Disabling Turbo Boost will drop temperatures to around 70C for CPU and GPU, but the fan noise will stay the same.
  • Fan noise is loud during gaming, and there is no way to reduce fan speeds.
  • Winner: MSI GE75 hands down, won. MSI gives you a 115W GPU with the ability to overclock it for extra performance. If you disable Turbo Boost (a short cut to undervolting), the GPU will drop to 80 to 90W. You can apply an overclock to bring the GPU back up at 115W. Now your CPU is around 70C and GPU is around 80C. Using stock settings, MSI applies a 100 Mhz core and 150 Mhz memory overclock to the GPU in Dragon Center. Without undervolting or disabling Turbo Boost, the can GPU can boost close to 120w.
BIOS:
  • MSI allows you go unlock the Advance BIOS under the Advanced Tab by pressing all four buttons at the same time: Left ALT + F2 + Right CTRL + Right Shift. This make take several tries. You can enable overclocking and overclock or undervolt through the BIOS, but this requires a guide. You'll be better off using XTU to undervolt.
    • I was going to take pictures of each settings in the Advance BIOS, but there is way too many. Everything is in there. I really think it's for experts because you're not getting a manual book that explains in depth what each setting does. Each setting gives you the basic idea of what it does.
  • Lenovo just has a basic BIOS only. You cannot unlock the Advance Bios in the Legion 5i without flashing a modified unofficial BIOS.
  • Winner: MSI
  • Download to see MSI Basic Bios.zip (19 Mb) and MSI Advance Bios.zip (110 Mb) or Lenovo Bios (24 Mb)
Packaging:
  • MSI like many other manufacturers use a compact box that is pack inside of another cardboard box. There's a lot more protection for the laptop.
  • Lenovo comes in this big ass box that offers little protection for side impacts. This box is as big as a prebuilt Dell/HP micro-ATX PC. It's a poor design. I guess they wanted you to flex when you walk out of the retail store or UPS store to show everyone you got a Lenovo Legion box. It's more like "LOL, you got a small laptop. Well, look at me with my big ass box."
  • Winner: MSI
Freebies:
  • MSI gives you a full keyboard deck micro fiber cloth. You can cover the keyboard deck to keep the screen from pressing on the keyboard. A full suite of Cyberlink Photo, Audio, and Video editing application that aren't a free trial. MSI App Player (Android emulator) integrated into the laptop.
  • Lenovo gives you nothing else inside of your big ass box.
  • Winner: MSI

https://preview.redd.it/aqezfvb3jwv51.jpg?width=1001&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=512e891a7540cc64df30968c1f4c5cc4f904eade
Bloatware:
  • MSI has questionable bloatware that will depend on you if you use the included applications or decide to uninstall them. It comes with Norton (or McAfee) anti-virus, Cyberlink Photo, Audio, and Video applications, MSI App Player (Android emulator), MSI True Color, and around 8 Microsoft Office 365 language packs. The most annoying to uninstall is the Office 365 language packs with each taking about 5 minutes to uninstall.
    • If you do a clean install of Windows 10, you can download everything again except for the Cyberlink Photo, Audio, and Video Editing Suite and whatever anti-virus that came pre-installed.
  • Lenovo just comes with McAfee anti-virus.
  • Winner: Lenovo
Controversies
  • MSI GE75
    • They includes this piece of paper if you write a review, you get a free headset. It's almost like a paid review to get you to write a 4 or 5 star review without any negatives. Since I bought this laptop the first time, I was able to get the free headset. This was around May to July.
    • This promotion has already ended. The headset sucks ass. It works, but it's one of those headsets where if the cord rubs against you or on the table, the noise transfers to the ear cups.
  • Lenovo Legion 5i
    • Lenovo inflates their prices and gives massive discounts to trick you into buying the laptop thinking you're getting a big discount when you really aren't. They slowly raise the price before there is a sale. Sometimes you can really get a big discount, so I guess you'll have to wait for the right time for it.
    • Lenovo has a confusing prebuilt vs. customization order. You get better customization with the 15.6" Premium model than with the 17.3" Premium model. You get to choose a Windows 10 Pro, 4-zone RGB, and 500 nits screen with the 15.6" Premium model. For the 17.3" Premium model, you get the option to choose Windows 10 Pro, and there's no option for RGB keyboard or 500 nits screen. If you customize your order, it costs more than the prebuilt option and also takes forever to ship it to you. Since I bought prebuilt, it shipped from North Carolina, USA. If you buy customized, it will come from China, which takes about a month or more.
    • Lenovo deleted my review even though I was being fair and professional with the review. I used the same name on Reddit as "TastyBananaPeppers," and I cannot find my 4 out of 5 stair review after receiving an email telling me it went live. I talked about everything I like about the laptop and the three things they need to work on which are macro support, better packaging, and adding a subwoofer into the Legion 5i 17.3" model.
    • Lenovo has poor internal space management in their 17.3" chassis. Go from the 15.6" chassis to a 17.3" chassis offers little improvements other than getting bigger screen and a USB 3.0 SD card reader. They are reusing the 15.6" laptop motherboard in the 17" laptop and stretching out the heatsink to better fit the 17" laptop. There are tons of space inside the laptop where they could have added more ports, subwoofer, and/or 3rd M.2 SSD slot.
    • Lenovo makes it a little hard to return the laptop. I called the customer service line from the website and seems like the custom service rep was totally clueless. It turns out I had to call the Legion Gaming line to start a return with them. Once I had the case number then I can talk to customer service to get my RMA #. I told them I wanted to return the laptop for a full refund because my screen got a minor damage along with a dead hard drive. They offer me to get it fixed, but I declined. They tried to bribe me with some Lenovo Reward points and to have it fixed, but I declined. I insisted a full refund. They offered a full refund in Lenovo Reward points, but I declined again. By the way, Lenovo Reward points can expire. Finally, I told them I was going to buy it at a Best Buy for an easy exchange then he allowed me to get a full refund. It took close to 3 weeks to get a full refund for the amount I paid with sales tax. I spent an hour on the phone.
    • Lenovo uses Uyghur Muslims in China to build their laptops for free. China is against Islam the religion, so they imprison them and force them into factory labor. See https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-8077205/Chinas-Uighurs-trapped-factory-toiling-tech-titans.html
  • Winner: Despite MSI with their questionable or unethical sales practice, MSI wins this one.
Conclusion with total points:
  • MSI GE75: 17
  • Lenovo Legion 5i: 6
  • Tie: 6
The Lenovo Legion 5i 17" is for students or working professionals who need a laptop that has good battery life in a gaming laptop. This laptop is for people who are always on the go and need more than 3 hours of battery life. This laptop has quick charging from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes and with a full charge in about 2-3 hours. You can also use your laptop to charge your phone while the laptop is off. The laptop design doesn't make you look like a gamer, and you can also game with your laptop too.
The one thing I really don't like about this Lenovo laptop is the RTX 2060 that is capped at 90 watts and 100 watts for the AMD 17". This is like buying a sports car, but the manufacturer secretly tuned the car to prevent it from driving over 90 miles per hour. You decide to to benchmark your car with the Dyno machine and discover it's well capable of reaching 180 miles per hour. Then, you drop the biggest WTF out loud. When I ran the Time Spy benchmark, it said I had a Refreshed RTX 2060. This is the same GPU that is in the MSI GE75 Raider laptop. Then, there's the different wattage between Legion models with RTX 2060.
  • Intel Legion 5i with 15.6" + webcam = 90w
  • Intel Legion 5i with 17.3" + webcam = 90w
  • Intel Legion 5i P (or 5Pi) with 15.6" but no webcam = 100 or 115w
  • Intel Legion 7i with 15.6" + webcam = 105w
  • AMD Legion 5 with 15.6" + webcam = 115w
    • This one currently appears to be the best one to buy as of November 5th.
  • AMD Legion 5 with 17.3" + webcam = 100w
  • AMD Legion 5 P with 15.6" but no webcam = 115w
The MSI GE75 Raider 17" is for gamers, enthusiasts, or people who want the best features in a laptop. This is almost like a desktop replacement laptop. You get a lot of features in this laptop that you might use or not use at all. It's better to have them than not to have them at all.
The one the thing I really don't like about the MSI laptop is the ergonomics of the keyboard and keyboard's metal deck. This is the first laptop I bought after not using a laptop for over seven years. I decided to buy a laptop to replace my 10 year old Clevo laptop that still runs perfectly fine except it's too slow to handle FireFox with one tab. It's a combination of the placement of F1 to F4, unnescessarily big console key (Counter Strike/Half-Life reference), and the keyboard rubberdome switch thing. I feel like these keys require a lot more force to press down than using a external mechanical keyboard (Logitech G610 Cherry MX Brown). If I attempt to play for a few hours using the laptop's keyboard, my hand will hurt for 1-2 weeks. I tested it a couple of times and got the same results.
In order for MSI GE75 to get the 5 star rating:
  • Get SteelSeries to make a standard size for the "Console" key.
  • Include a USB 3.0 Card Reader instead of USB 2.0.
  • Fix the Speaker popping issue
Other thoughts:
What laptop stand are you using?
Would I considered a Lenovo laptop in the future?
  • At this moment, the answer is no because I paid for a full 115 refreshed RTX 2060, but Lenovo won't give it to you unless you give them more money to buy the "5 P" model without a webcam. Here with Lenovo, you're getting the same 115w in all 7 of their Legion models. I read on their Legion Forums section, one of the Lenovo specialists said it was to increase reliability of their laptops. You can flash a vBIOS to unlock the 115w limit, but you shouldn't have to do it when you already got it. This process might void warranty or brick the laptop. I don't understand this Lenovo bs.
Will I switch to a different laptop?
  • Costco has a 90-day return policy on computers. It's super easy to return your laptop as long as it has no physical damage and no missing screws. The workers just do a basic visual check. I bring the laptop back to my local Costco and my money appears in my back within 2-3 days. They don't charge restocking fees. If I buy a laptop somewhere else, the return policy is 15 or 30 days with the possibly of paying restocking fees.
  • If Costco has a new Alienware m17 R3 laptop, I would try it if it's around $1800 with sales tax.
These are links to pictures and screenshots of both of these laptops:

As the name suggests, slots reign supreme at this casino, but in actuality, a full slate of table games are available as well. Although the decision of what to play first won't be easy, at least it will be worry-free because the eCogra certification assures you that the entire catalog of games available offers a fair chance to win. In fact, you can check the eCogra monthly reports on the website. The latest report states the average certified payout for all games combined is more than 96%.
As a new player from Cardschat.com, you'll be rewarded with a supplement to your initial playing bankroll in the form of a generous four-part welcome bonus, up to $500. Be sure to read the Welcome Bonus section that follows so you will better understand how this important benefit works. Thereafter, based on your play, many other valuable rewards, including special bonuses and other player benefits are also possible. From day 1, you become a member of the casino's 5-tiered Loyalty Club, starting at the Bronze level, but with the opportunity to work your way up to Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Beginning at the Gold level, players get their own personal account manager along with other exciting extras like luxury gifts and free spins. Select Platinum and Diamond level players also enjoy higher deposit and withdrawal limits, and some players receive even more great rewards like special weekly deposit-based bonus offers and customized vacation packages.
Being that this casino openly welcomes players from around the world, it's unsurprising that several major currencies are accepted here, and the games are offered in many different languages as well. In addition, the choice of banking options is extensive, with most deposit options also available for payouts. One minor annoyance is that cashing out delays (48 hours or more) has been reported as being slower than at some online casinos. However, the state of the art encryption ensures that all of your deposits and withdrawals are completely protected at all times.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to contact Customer Support. The service is available 24/7 via live chat, phone, or email to address your concerns.

Claiming Your All Slots Welcome Bonus

Unlike some casinos which deliver their new member financial incentive all at once based on the initial deposit only, at All Slots the bonus you receive for signing up is actually split into separate transactions. Altogether, you could wind up receiving $500 in bonus money, a generous amount indeed. But, as you might expect, there are stipulations, so it is important to read and fully understand all of the rules and limitations.
In order to receive the maximum bonus amount, you need to make four separate deposits to your account, as indicated below, all within one week of opening your account. Each deposit has its own specified "playthrough" requirements for withdrawal. Since the bonuses are sequential, you must first satisfy the redemption conditions for the previous bonus before being eligible to receive the next installment.
  • First Deposit: 100% match bonus, up to $500
  • Second Deposit: 100% match bonus, up to $500
  • Third Deposit: 100% match bonus, up to $500
*UK players, when they make their 1st deposit, get an extra $33 (doubled to $66 with the bonus).
The minimum deposit each time is $25. However, in order to receive the maximum possible bonus of $500, a total of $1,200 in the initial 7 day period must be deposited. The playthrough requirement for withdrawal is 30x the bonus + deposit for the 1st deposit and 25x the bonus + deposit for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th deposit. Furthermore, only slots and parlor games count 100%. The impact of other games on your bonus is inconsequential, which makes the Welcome Bonus money almost useless for non-slot play.
While it is nice to get the full $500 in bonus money if that will entail depositing more money than you feel comfortable with, be content with accepting a lower value bonus. Furthermore, so you avoid any possible confusion, we'd urge you to take the time to read through the detailed terms and conditions on the casino website beforehand.

All Slots Games

Whether you are a slots player, a table games player or both, at All Slots Casino, you will never be a bored player. How can you be with over 500 games to choose from, including more than 300 slot games? That is more than many land-based casinos have to offer.
Your wide choice of slots include not only classic 3 reel slots and fruit machines, but more than 100 popular 5-reel video slots loaded with extra features like wild and scatter symbols, free spins, and bonus games. Or head for one of the Microgaming network progressive slots like Major Millions, King Cashalot, or Mega Moolah and take a shot at a potentially life-changing jackpot. You can also take part in the casino's frequently scheduled slot tournaments.
But the wait-the name "All Slots" is really a misnomer because the casino also offers all your favorite table games including alternate versions of both blackjack and roulette that are probably completely new to you. Choose from more than 40 versions of blackjack. Or, if roulette is your game, you can play not only American, European, and French roulette, but also multi-wheel roulette and Roulette Royale with a progressive jackpot.
Then, for a truly unforgettable experience, pretend you are in a real casino and play blackjack, roulette, or baccarat with a live dealer, who if you wish, can be a Playboy Bunny!

Mobile

All Slots has a solid collection of games in their mobile app: 18 diverse choices to fulfill most cravings. It plays well on Android and on iOS smartphones, with each game looking polished enough to stand independently. This is mostly due to All Slots using Microgaming software which has given us some of the best slot games in the past years, including the Marvel slots and their progressive jackpots. If you are not a person who likes downloading apps on to their devices, you can still play through your smartphone by signing up to the All Slots mobile website and playing the Flash versions directly on the site.
The withdrawal methods are very reliable, with the requests being fulfilled in a few days tops, and the money can be sent to your bank account, your eWallet account or even as a personal check for you in the mail. All Slots accepts all major payment methods, such as Visa and wire transfers, and some of the minor ones, too, giving you a wide choice in the way you move your money. All the deposit and withdrawal methods are also usable through your mobile device.

Conclusion

While its mobile section might not be as big as that of some other online casinos, All Slots has quite a few things that make it stand out from the others. Its customer service is one of those things, as it is near-instant, all through the night and day, polite and very, very efficient. Another is the constant bonuses that you can get for all sorts of reasons, including just being a regular player or for signing up. A third is the huge number of available games (through the computer), which range through both slot and table games, and their extremely high return rate of over 96%.

Mobile Games, some thoughts on FFXV: A New Empire and FF: Record Keeper

Mobile Games, some thoughts on FFXV: A New Empire and FF: Record Keeper
So I downloaded every free FF mobile game I could find on the Android store. Talking about the actual mobile games, not PS1 games that were ported or whatever. First two games, here we go.
For my thoughts on FF: Brave Exvius and War of the Visions: FF Brave Exvius, have a look here:
https://www.reddit.com/FinalFantasy/comments/i7or3z/mobile_games_some_thoughts_on_ff_brave_exvius_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x
For my thoughts on FF All the Bravest and Dissidia FF Opera Omnia, have a look here:
https://www.reddit.com/FinalFantasy/comments/idw5vt/mobile_games_some_thoughts_on_ff_all_the_bravest/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
FFXV A New Empire:
Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire. Developed and released in 2017 by Epic Action, a subsidiary of Machine Zone. Some company in the US/Palo Alto who pretty much just reskinned one of their other games after getting a 'crash course' on the art style by Square?
Holy microtransaction hell! Jeez, this game was even less of a game than I was expecting. There is literally zero story and no connection to FFXV, it's just a big microtransation filled treadmill. Even the procedural/systemic narrative is barely a story and makes zero sense.
The game opens on a bunch of tutorials that's just bland text boxes telling you literally which button to push. Without teaching you what the game is actually gonna be and why you want to be clicking these buttons. You build a farm, upgrade a mine, build some units. So yea, this is a strategy town building game where you'll be building a little city. And you'll be sending out your army to control areas on the world map and harass other players to steal their resources. Got it!
It might have been neat if they had set this in the distant past, say you are playing as the empire of Solheim. Or maybe some future time after the main game. Instead it's some nebulous setting of medieval castles and armies, that sort of look a bit rennaissance-y and modern, but not exactly the architectural style of FFXV itself? No cars or technology to be seen anywhere. All your soldiers are wearing silly fantasy outfits instead of jeans and leather jackets. Half of them are wielding magic fireballs like it's no big deal. Seriously, there's a piece of art of this guy in huge plate armour. He would get laughed out of the room if he walked into a roadside diner in actual FFXV! It all looks really weird and out of place. It's like the artists forgot to wear their glasses while looking at some low res screenshots of FFXV. They got the colour palette right, and everyone has spikey Noctis hair. But all the rest of it is just generic fantasy.
The music is dreary and repetitive too. They just loop the depressing FFXV Crystal Theme over and over.
Noctis and his bro's show up on some screens, but the art looks off. He can whack a slime once a day in some special dungeon area. If you want to hit the slime a second time, come back tomorrow! Or throw Square some money. You get letters from Luna congratulating you for doing basic tasks. And there's so many timers. Everything is set to timers. Gotta keep checking your phone! I left the game alone for a few hours and was greeted with a mountain of notifications from the app begging me to come back.
Also, microtransactions out the wazoo. The game pops up the real money store right in your face every few minutes. I'm not even exaggerating there. No way to turn this off. Whatever you are doing, it will throw you into the store to advertise all the various packages and 'events' at you. With resources, speed ups, gear, stuff that might actually make the game fun to play. Like faster build queues and an actual overview map. Or the ability to build more than one building at a time. There's so much stuff to buy, and it's all super expensive for what you get.
So how's the actual game? It's barely a game. You build buildings. Then you upgrade your citadel. That lets you upgrade the rest of your buildings to the same level. Queue up some military units. And repeat. There's no real strategic choices to make here, no different ways to build up your empire. It's a tech ladder, not a tech tree. So you climb your way up the ladder for a few days, until you have enough soldiers to send out and attack other players. Wait until the timer runs down and your units return. You might lose some units, but if you won the fight, you get more resources. To spend on your buildings. That's it pretty much. No interesting choices or decisions to make anywhere, just click the thing it tells you to click, upgrade the buildings it tells you to upgrade. And check out the store for sick lootboxes!!
I gave the game four days, playing half an hour here and there. Because I was hoping it might get interesting once I could attack and scout out other players. It didn't really. The only reason to attack others is for more resources, in service of the most basic of town building games. The clan I was in was deserted, half the members were fake accounts. And most of the other players on the world map were inactive or dead. My attacks got no response from others. There was no strategy to any of it. If the game had more personality or story it might be tolerable. But it's all just so dull, generic and uninteresting.
FF Record Keeper:
Final Fantasy: Record Keeper. Developed by Tokyo e-commerce/mobile game company DeNa and released in 2013. Again, similar to one of their existing games, except with this game it sounds like there was more oversight and input from Square? They even got Tetsuya Nomura to design some characters.
An actual game this time! Sort of. Once you click past like four log in bonus screens, an ad for some event, and update announcements. And manage to navigate the horrid menu design. I swear the interfaces on these games are deliberately designed to be confusing, in order to get you lost and accidentally spending money. The opening is more welcoming than it was in A New Empire though!
Record Keeper opens with an actual intro cutscene and a cute little story about a big library where they keep stories. It's run by a cute looking moogle, and you play some kid named Tyro. But oh no! The records they keep get stolen by the big evil! These stolen legends are of course all the Final Fantasy stories you know and love. And to restore them, you need to play through iconic battles and scenes from the different games.
So in effect, this game is a huge tree of battles. Beating one unlocks the other. And so you hop from FFVII to FFIV, FFXIV etc etc. It's a looooong list. They even have games like Tactics Advance and Type 0 in there. And the unlock path splits at points, so if you don't fancy playing through FFV, go do some battles from FFXV instead. It's not as open as I'd like it to be, I wish I could just freely say 'I wanna play some type 0 battles now and get those characters', instead of having to play through FFIV, V, X and XV first. The difficulty also kind of steers you through one perfect path, so really the structure is even more linear. Outside of battle, it's just menus. No walking around or talking to people. Some achievements to unlock. And a ton of (Harder) variants of the existing fights and dungeons, with a little narrative justification to explain why you're fighting the same battles again. And a big complicated microtransaction slot machine for gear, characters and upgrades, because of course.
Winning battles lets you unlock characters from the respective games. Or you can buy them directly. They all get cute pixel art versions, even the modern 3D games. That is the big draw here for me. Seeing and unlocking all the cute sprite characters to add to my battle party. Though they don't get the same character through unique animations that they have in the main FF games. It's still lovely to see tiny sprite Alphinaud fight next to sprite Tifa.
The battles themselves use a variant on the classic turn Active Time Battle system from FFIV-IX. Five party members; your main character and whatever four FF characters you add. Some have healing spells, some throw fireballs, most just whack the enemy with whatever sword you equip. And they all have a unique limit break attack that fits their character. So Yuna gets summons, Tifa has her Beat Rush, etc.
The battles don't require too much strategy though. Save your limit breaks for the boss fight, that's it. I manage to kill most things in one or two hits, and at some point I just started using auto battle. Except when things kill me in one hit instead. The difficulty can be all over the place, when it's not super super easy, and you dare to go into a dungeon off the main path, it kicks your ass. Probably to steer you towards the slot machine to boost your power. Maybe it gets deeper later on. The enemies sort of emulate their originals. So the Mist Dragon from FFIV will do its mist thing where it becomes unhittable for a little bit and you have to wait it out. For what it's worth, there is certainly a lot of variety in the different limit breaks, support characters and all that.
Now, aside from the little bit of story set up in the beginning, there hasn't been much more plot. Just some overly wordy tutorials. I imagine there will be more cutscenes and characters introduced later down the road though. This game seems to actually care about its cute little story, even though it's mostly an excuse for fanservice. It would have been nice to have some interactions with the FF characters you unlock. Are they alive? Do they hang out somewhere or do they only exist in these fictional records where they help you fight?
The real money gambling aspect is fairly easy to ignore. I imagine most of that stuff becomes more relevant in the end game, where all you're doing is powering up your favourite characters.
And I appreciate that this game is not filled with timers. There isn't a farm or town that you have to check up on regularly. It's just battles. Wanna do some FF battles? Go jump in a few times a day for two or three battles, until you get tired of it, and go back to whatever else you were doing. It's chill. You do have limited actions per day, but I haven't run out of actions yet.
The music is every FF track ever. They just use whatever music was in the game you're currently revisiting. It's alright. At least it's varied, to the point that I felt some tonal whiplash going from one screen to the next.
The characters and background art all looks very cute. But most importantly; This game has the coolest looking Cid in the series, by far. He looks like a damn badass.
So yea. It's enjoyable enough. It's chill to jump in every now and then. With every battle being super super easy, and the grind to get more story being so long, I don't think I'll stick with it though. And it looks like the game will just turn into a gambling den once you do get to more challenging content. The original story is cute so far, but it's not that engaging. And if I wanna revisit my favourite FF games, I'll just replay those. Doing battles that sort of represent the original games just to unlock a screenshot of a scene and a short plot summary is an inferior alternative. Despite the cute sprites of Cloud and Yshtola.
I can see why people like this one though!

The End, for now
Phew, sorry for the long rambling reviews. I had to get my thoughts out somehow. I'll be back in a week or so with thoughts on Exvius and War of the Visions.
Anyone else have opinions on these games?

How I Developed My First iOS Game with Random Number Generator

How I Developed My First iOS Game with Random Number Generator
Creating the first game is not a walk in the park. This is what I have learned from my experience of creating epic games with Random Number Generators. It is a fairly complex process that requires passion, skill, determination, and matchless zeal.
My journey to the creation of games started way back in high school. I could play a couple of games from the likes of IGT or Aristocrat. I was not qualified to play real money games as I was not yet 18 years old. Growing up in a family of gaming enthusiasts too had an effect on my ability to create games. My elder brother was and is still an avid casino gamer. On many occasions, he could take time to describe how easy it was to play and collect wins on games like Big Red or Double Diamonds. To drive his point home, he often brought us some fine pizza after his lucrative pokie wins, especially on weekends.
When I reached the majority gambling age of 18 years, I could not resist the urge to try my luck on several games. The passion later graduated into a bread earning venture. Fortunately, after high school, I enrolled for a graphics design course, which gave me short in the arm as I could create incredible designs on platforms like Unity and the SpriteKit which are the ideal Apple’s engine for creating 2D and 3D games. I was particularly hooked to the development of a game with a Random Number Generator (RNG), as this is the engine that many pokies run on.

Random Number Generator

Generally, the Random Number Generator refers to a microchip that is capable of generating numbers continuously, even when nobody plays is pressing or playing the machine. Within milliseconds, the machine is capable of creating hundreds of billion numbers.
RNG works through simple but complex programmed commands. When players hit the press button, the machine will display the position with respect to the last numbers generated. As the literal brains of any slot or pokie game, RNG, the values created by the diverse numbers generated are subsequently translated into the different symbol combos that appear on the reels of slot machines.
While developing games for iOS or any other platform, RNG is highly needed. The machine is very impartial and accurate. The randomly generated numbers help to steer away from any possibility of human manipulation of the numbers generated.
The Random Number Generator is a crucial and primary element of any slot game. Before releasing any game, including my cash robbers combat game, developers must subject their RNGs to third parties for fairness audits. Auditors like iTech Labs, Gaming Lab International (GLI) and eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA) are recommended.

Popular Platforms for Creating Games with Random Number Generator

For both windows and iOS, Unity is one of the biggest engines for the creation of casino games. It is one of the friendliest 2D/3D programming engines with a systematic approach to the development of the game’s design. I have regularly used the engine as the skeleton for my iOS games. In addition to games development, Unity is available for simulated training and the development of other business applications that have the inherent ability to interact with 2D/3D spaces.
To develop games for iOS, you however need an Apple ID. The Apple Developer account is also necessary because you need to exploit the full potential of your game. While building the unity iOS game, an Xcode project is generated to give you the skeleton framework for feature additions. The project is thus useful in signing, compiling, and preparation of the developed game for distribution.
After running simulations, the game needs to be deployed to an ios device. Real game deployment requires a registered Apple developer with device deployment abilities. The account comes at a price! Roughly $99.
SpriteKit is another engine for iOS and tvOS which allows developers to create games in XCode using swift. Released in 2013, this platform has proved useful. It has a cool physics engine, particle systems, animation handling, and a built-in shape creator. Like Unity, it has a timing system and developers can automate both visual and sound effects.
SpriteKit makes the use of Metal to guarantee high-performance rendering while affording developers a simple programming interface. By leveraging a set of rich animation tools and physics behavior, developers can faster add life to the visual elements and easily transition them between screens.
To start your development journey, developers use the scene object which is an instance of SKScene set up using the following code
https://preview.redd.it/16xrmnxb24351.jpg?width=946&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1eb50553d6632dcf671dfce54354a61275aaf3a0
After passing the size of the view bound of the scene initializer, it is the high time to size the scene to the view’s size. Normally the scene anchorpoint is (0.5, 0.5). Coordinates originate from (0, 0) which is taken as the center of the map view.

How I Developed my First iOS Game with Random Number Generator – Step by Step Guide

While there are many platforms out there to create games for iOS, I like Unity. The simplicity and the ability to create cutting games are some of the justifications. Even my ‘Cash and Robbers’ slot game is developed using Unity engine. Before starting off, I ensured the unity app is successfully installed and my account is ready. Here is a systematic process to my development of Cash and Robbers game
  • While logged in you are presented with an interface that comes with a default project. Developers discard the defaults and start to create a new project through the project wizard.
https://preview.redd.it/cmn3dh7d24351.jpg?width=531&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b994babab6f23b7770c5438e96f925d441760b52
  • At the project wizard, I click on ‘set’ and navigate to the folder where I want my project saved. Enter ‘DashandZag’ followed by project name and you will be prompted on where to save.
  • After setting up your project, I access the Unity Editor Interface. By using the ‘editor layout tab’ I change the view to wide mode. The view gives different parts of the game to develop; project view, Hierarchy view, Toolbar, Scene view, Game View, and the Inspector.
https://preview.redd.it/3alc5hve24351.jpg?width=958&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24697964ca174c9363acc22647d3b10dc1eea8f9
  • I navigate through these views while adding features as per the programming prompts ( guided, of course, by the projects mirrored outlook).
  • A newly created project is normally too static. It needs my own or pre-packaged scripts that must be attached to the relevant game objects to initiate an action. The script basically ensures responses to touch events so as to move the cube from one position to the next. For scripting, I use Boo, C# or Javascript.
  • Creating a new script. Select Assets\Create\Javascript. With a script name, rename it as movesimple. Double-clicking on will trigger the MonoDevelop unity editor with the following codes.
https://preview.redd.it/d79yqhjn24351.jpg?width=1013&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b41a013fef31077037c897ebdb91aec42c248e46
https://preview.redd.it/d3v5ig2p24351.jpg?width=987&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cbe8cbbfcbb0874e24a5ebce2cb991a782f7c596
  • I then get the mobile cube on the camera. Through the game’s modification, I ensure that the main camera can track the cube’s fixed position from behind. By using Assets\Import Package\Scripts I choose SmoothFollow and then Import.
https://preview.redd.it/r2yfiuut24351.jpg?width=777&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ce1c04e639178ab5fd6d136dcaea4013a70d9bc
  • Deploying on iOS. Unity is capable of building the game as an Xcode project that is deployable to an iOS device. I select File\Build Settings.
https://preview.redd.it/oy92u66v24351.jpg?width=567&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aaafaa5c6b7d0b94d59c2a0ce546327369ae16b7

iOS Games that were developed with RNG

Most games that have been developed for iOS devices like iPad or iPhone come with Random Number Generators. These microchips determine the winning sequences. Available on informative https://pokieslab.com/aristocrat/ , gamblers can play Aristocrat pokies for free with bonus rounds and free spins:
  1. More Chili – It was created by Aristocrat in 2012. Compatible with other platforms like Android, Microsoft, and Blackberry, the game has a layout of 5 reels and 25 paylines. It boasts of incredible 3D graphics befitting gaming symbols and well-balanced colors. It has an RTP of 95% and a betting range of £0.1 up to £60 per spin. With an auto spin feature, you will have a chance to enjoy a thoroughly audited RNG. With a possibility to strike a non-progressive jackpot of 4000 times your line bets this is an incredibly friendly game

  1. Big Red - Manufactured by Aristocrat in 2014, this game has grown into a gamers’ sensation. Big Red comes with many in-game multipliers. You can get these multipliers on the game’s layout of 5 reels and 5 paylines. It is mobile optimized; hence, it can be played across mobile platforms. Big Red slot is playable with as low as £0.01 up to a maximum of £50 per spin. The free play version requires neither downloading nor registration.

  1. 5 Dragons – This is another slot with a fair and regularly audited Random number generator. The game is served on a layout of 5 reels and 20 fixed lines on which you can collect generous payouts. 3D Graphics are beautiful while the immersive backdrop resembles a desert environment that is brought into a clear view by the game’s well-balanced colors. Besides ultimate fairness, the game features one of the biggest theoretical returns to players (95.17%). The low to the medium variance of the game ensures that regular gamblers stand a chance of collecting regular but small wins. Jimi Hendrix is ideal for all gamers as the betting range starts at £0.25 per spin and goes up to £50 for high rollers.

MAME 0.205

MAME 0.205

With Christmas just over, it’s time for the final MAME release for 2018, and what a year it’s been! Before we move on, let’s pause and recap some of the significant milestones from the past twelve months:
MAME 0.205 is no different. Newly supported arcade systems include Unico’s Magic Purple, and Visco’s never-before-seen prototype Pastel Island. The latter ties in nicely with improved video emulation for the SSV platform (yes, this fixes other long-standing glitches, too). Newly playable machines include Konami’s Tobe! Polystars, Evil Night and Total Vice. Yes, Konami M2 emulation is finally here! Be aware that there’s still a lot of room for performance optimisation on this system.
Putting arcade systems aside for a moment, this release includes support for Dance Dance Revolution Strawberry Shortcake, and the Nintendo Game & Watch titles Oil Panic and Squish. Interestingly, there are no other emulators or simulators for Squish, and it hasn’t been included in any of Nintendo’s Game & Watch collections. It seems to draw inspiration from the Famicom game Devil World.
There are hundreds more Commodore 64 cassettes in the software list now, and quite a few more BBC ROMs as well. Software lists have been added for the Nascom computers, along with updates to the boot ROM choices and better keyboard emulation. We’ve also created a skeleton driver and documented the known software for the Chinese Monon Color console. In a last-minute addition we added support for new version 2 .WOZ floppy images on the Apple II family.
Of course, there are lots more additions and improvements that you can read about in the whatsnew.txt file, or you can get the source and Windows binary packages from the download page and try it out yourself. Enjoy the rest of the year, and all the best in 2019 from all of us at MAMEdev!

MeWe: A trip report

Among the more frequently mentioned G+ alternatives at the Google+ Mass Migration community, and others, is MeWe with over 250 mentions. The site bills itself as "The Next-Gen Social Network" and the "anti-Facebook": "No Ads, No Political Bias, No Spyware. NO BS. It is headed by professed Libertarian CEO Mark Weinstein.
As the site reveals no public user-generated content to non-members, it's necessary to create an account in order to get a full impression. I thought I'd provide an overview based on recent explorations.
This report leads of with background on the company, though readers may find the report and analysis of specific groups on the site of interest.

Leadership

Founder & CEO Mark Weinstein.
Co-Founder & Chief Scientist, Jonathan Wolfe (no longer with company).
Weinstein previously founded SuperFamily and SuperFriends, "at the turn of the millennium". Weinstein's MeWe biography lists articles published by The Mirror (UK), Huffington Post, USA Today, InfoSecurity Magazine, Dark Reading, and the Nation. His media appearances include MarketWatch, PBS, Fox News, and CNN. He's also the author of several personal-success books.
His Crunchbase bio is a repeat of the MeWe content.

Advisory Board

Ownership & Investment

MeWe is the dba of Sgrouples, a private for-profit early-stage venture company based in Los Angeles, though with a Mountain View HQ and mailing address, 11-50 employees, with $10m in funding over five rounds, and a $20m valuation as of 2016.

Secured $1.2M in seed funding in 2014.

Despite the business address, the company claims to be based in Los Angeles County, California and is described by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a Culver City, CA, company.

Business

Policy

In an August 6, 2018 Twitter post, Weinstein promotes MeWe writing:
Do you have friends still on Facebook? Share this link with them about Facebook wanting their banking information - tell them to move to MeWe now! No Ads. No Spyware. No Political Agenda. No Bias Algorithms. No Shadow Banning. No Facial Recognition.
MeWe provide several policy-related links on the site:
Highlights of these follow.

Privacy

The privacy policy addresses:

Terms of Service

The ToS addresses:
Effective: November 6, 2018.

FAQ

The FAQ addresses:

Values

This emphasises that people are social cratures and private people by right. The service offers the power of self expression under an umbrella of safety. It notes that our innermost thoughts require privacy.
Under "We aspire...":
MeWe is here to empower and enrich your world. We challenge the status quo by making privacy, respect, and safety the foundations of an innovatively designed, easy-to-use social experience.
Totalling 182 words.

Privacy Bill of Rights

A ten-item statement of principles (possibly inspired by another document, it might appear):
  1. You own your personal information & content. It is explicitly not ours.
  2. You will never receive a targeted advertisement or 3rd party content based on what you do or say online. We think that's creepy.
  3. You see every post in timeline order from your friends, family & groups. We do not manipulate, filter, or change the order of your content or what you see.
  4. Permissions & privacy are your rights. You control them.
  5. You control who can access your content.
  6. You control what, if anything, others can see in member searches.
  7. Your privacy means we do not share your personal information with anyone.
  8. Your emojis are for you and your friends. We do not monitor or mine your data.
  9. Your face is your business. We do not use facial recognition technology.
  10. You have the right to delete your account and take your content with you at any time.

Press

There are a few mentions of MeWe in the press, some listed on the company's website, others via web search.

Self-reported articles

The following articles are linked directly from MeWe's Press page:
The page also lists a "Privacy Revolution Required Reading" list of 20 articles all addressing Facebook privacy gaffes in the mainstream press (Wired, TechCrunch, Fortune, Gizmodo, The Guardian, etc.).
There are further self-reported mentions in several of the company's PR releases over the years.

Other mentions

A DuckDuckGo search produces several other press mentions, including:

Technology

This section is a basic rundown of the user-visible site technology.

Mobile Web

The site is not natively accessible from a mobile Web browser as it is overlayed with a promotion for the mobile application instead. Selecting "Desktop View" in most mobile browsers should allow browser-based access.

Mobile App

There are both Android and iOS apps for MeWe. I've used neither of these, though the App store entries note:
Crunchbase cites 209,220 mobile downloads over the past 30 days (via Apptopia), an 80.78% monthly growth rate, from Google Play.

Desktop Web

Either selecting "View Desktop" or navigating with a Desktop browser to https://www.mewe.com your are presented with a registration screen, with the "About", "Privacy Bill of Rights", "MeWe Challenge", and a language selector across the top of the page. Information requested are first and last name, phone or email, and a password. Pseudonymous identities are permitted, though this isn't noted on the login screen. Returning members can use the "Member Log In" button.
The uMatrix Firefox extension reveals no third-party content: all page elements are served from mewe.com, img.mewe.com, cdn.mewe.com, or ws.mewe.com. (In subsequent browsing, you may find third-party plugins from, for example, YouTube, for videos, or Giphy, for animated GIFs.)
The web front-end is nginx. The site uses SSL v3, issued by DigiCert Inc. to Sgrouples, Inc.

Onboarding

The onboarding experience is stark. There is no default content presented. A set of unidentified icons spans the top of the screen, these turn out to be Home, Chats, Groups, Pages, and Events. New users have to, somehow, find groups or people to connect with, and there's little guidance as to how to do this.

Interface

Generally there is a three panel view, with left- and right-hand sidebars of largely navigational or status information, and a central panel with main content. There are also pop-up elements for chats, an omnipresent feature of the site.
Controls display labels on some devices and/or resolutions. Controls do not provide tooltips for navigational aid.

Features

Among the touted features of MeWe are:

Community

A key aspect of any social network is its community. Some of the available or ascertained information on this follows.

Size

Weinstein claims a "million+ following inside MeWe.com" on Twitter.
The largest visible groups appear to have a maximum of around 15,000 members , for "Awesome gifs". "Clean Comedy" rates 13,350, and the largest open political groups, 11,000+ members.
This compares to Google+ which has a staggering, though Android-registrations-inflated 3.3 billion profiles, and 7.9 million communities, though the largest of these come in at under 10 million members. It's likely that MeWe's membership is on the whole more more active than Google+'s, where generally-visible posting activity was limited to just over 9% of all profiles, and the active user base was well under 1% of the total nominal population.

Active Users

MeWe do not publish active users (e.g., MUA / monthly active users) statistics.

Groups

MeWe is principally a group-oriented discussion site -- interactions take place either between individuals or within group contexts. Virtually all discovery is group-oriented. The selection and dynamics of groups on the site will likely strongly affect user experience, so exploring the available groups and their characteristics is of interest.
"MeWe has over 60,000 open groups" according to its FAQ.
The Open groups -- visible to any registered MeWe user, though not to the general public Web -- are browsable, though sections and topics must be expanded to view the contents: an overview isn't immediately accessible. We provide a taste here.
A selection of ten featured topics spans the top of the browser. As I view these, they are:
Specific groups may appear in multiple categories.
The top Groups within these topics have, variously, 15,482, 7,738, 15,482 (dupe), 7,745, 8,223, 8,220, 1,713, 9,527, 2,716, and 1,516 members. Listings scroll at length -- the Music topic has 234 Groups, ranging in size from 5 to 5,738 members, with a median of 59, mean of 311.4, and a 90%ile of 743.5.
Below this is a grid of topics, 122 in all, ranging from Activism to Wellness, and including among them. A selected sample of these topics, with top groups listed members in (parens), follows:
To be clear: whilst I've not included every topic, I've sampled a majority of them above, and listed not an arbitrary selection, but the top few Groups under each topic.

Google+ Groups

The Google Plus expats group seems the most active of these by far.

Political Groups

It's curious that MeWe make a specific point in their FAQ that:
At MeWe we have absolutely no political agenda and we have a very straightforward Terms of Service. MeWe is for all law-abiding people everywhere in the world, regardless of political, ethnic, religious, sexual, and other preferences.
There are 403 political groups on MeWe. I won't list them all here, but the first 100 or so give a pretty clear idea of flavour. Again, membership is in (parentheses). Note that half the total political Groups memberships are in the first 21 groups listed here, the first 6 are 25% of the total.

It seems there is relatively little representation from the left wing, or even the centre, of the political spectrum. A case-insensitive match for "liberal" turns up:
Mainstream political parties are little represented, though again, the balance seems skewed searching on "(democrat|republic|gop)":
The terms "left" and "right" provide a few matches, not all strictly political-axis aligned:
Socialism and Communism also warrant a few mentions:
And there are some references to green, laboulabor parties:

Conclusion

Whilst there may not be a political agenda, there does appear to be at least a slight political bias to the site. And a distinctive skew on many other topical subjects.
Those seeking new homes online may wish to take this into account.
