For any of those who follow the popular E-sport, Rocket League, their 10th season RLCS X has been announced and will start this weekend. What is Extra Place Matched Betting?
Extra Places can be a very lucrative technique to learn. Extra Places are available for us to do pretty much every day, increasing the appeal. Extra Place Offers are available to all customers. This means that even if you get gubbed with a bookmaker, in most cases, you can still make money with them by Matched Betting on their Extra Place Offers.
Extra Places are considered an advanced reload offer, as they not risk-free. However once you have gained some experience on more basic horse racing offers, you can start to take advantage of the lucrative profits available. It may sound complicated but as soon as it ‘clicks’, it becomes simple. Essentially we are taking advantage of the bookies and exchanges paying out if the horse you have backed comes a certain ‘place’ in a race e.g. 4th.
Extra Places combined with additional offers such as BOG (Best Offer Guarantee) can mean additional profits. For example, you back a horse at odds of 15 and then the starting odds move up to 23. If that horse wins you win an extra x8 on your bet. You can see some real life scenarios I found of Extra Place combined with BOG below. Depending on the size of the underlay, profits below would range up to £3,000+

What is a ‘place’ in horse racing?

Quite simply a ‘place’ is the position the horse finishes a race in. For example if a horse wins a race it comes 1st, if a horse comes 2nd its 2nd. In some races with a large number of horses some bookies will pay out if a horse finishes the race in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th position. Horse Racing festivals such as Cheltenham or Ascot are particularly well known for this.

What is an ‘Extra Place’ in horse racing?

Now we’ve understood what a place is in horse racing you may have probably already guessed what an ‘extra place’ is going to be! An ‘extra place’ is where the bookies add one (or more) additional places to their standard place classification on a particular race. For example they may offer to ‘pay 7 places on a race’ instead of the standard 3 places. The ‘extra place’ in this instance cover 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th.
What are my Extra Place top tips?

1. Some of my biggest profits have come from big underlayed winners and BOG. I typically underlay most of my bets by about 20% sometimes more. If you are starting out I would underlay on the place only by about 10% to play it safe until you learn more.
2. Don’t bet on more places than a bookmaker is offering. E.g. If the bookmaker is offering 4 places don’t bet on more than that.
3. Whilst your learning, take horses on implied odds of at least 12 or more on a match of 80%+.
4. Look to keep qualifying losses down. E.g. for £100 profit, £5 ql.
5. Please note, the best odds are typically found between 10 minutes up and to race time. You have to be quick on your ‘toes’…learn to walk before you run etc. Start out on easy horse racing officers before doing extra places.
6. You will need a bank of at least £1000+ for your exchanges, ideally more. The more you have the more of the field you can cover. You can do EP with several hundred in your exchange but you won’t be able to make bigger profits.
7. Be consistent, don’t take risks, don’t chase your losses and learn from matched betting extra place forums.
8. Keep the Odds Monkey up throughout the day...and check for good matches.
9. Use Bookies Boosts to increase your odds and matches.
10. Do not give in to your fear of missing out on offers…Tomorrow is another day.
11. Have at least a dual monitoscreen setup. It is important to be able to see exchange, books and calcs.

I would say that I'm relatively new to Reddit and the one thing that surprised me is the number of people that still play on Bovada, Ignition, Betonline, MyBookie, etc. Don't get me wrong, great sites for sports betting and poker, but absolutely horrendous when it comes to slots and live casino games.

Second thing, KYC is not required. Honestly haven't looked into this too much, but I can tell you from first-hand experience that KYC is not required in order to register or withdraw funds. All you have to do is confirm your email address. Some people have said you get KYC'd if you try to withdraw more than $2k, but again, I can confirm that it's not true (specifically for the casinos listed below). Just make sure that you only deposit/withdraw via crypto and you'll be fine. If you think this is sketchy, then please, continue making your credit card deposits at Bovada to random shell companies based out of China.
Also, DO NOT USE COINBASE TO TRANSFER TO AND FROM THE CASINO. They banned me. It hurt. Don't make the same mistake. I recommend using BRD as an intermediary between Coinbase and the casino. Since being banned from Coinbase, I have been using crypto.com to buy and sell crypto. Nothing but good things to say thus far.

Changes in sports betting law have created amazing entrepreneurial opportunities! It's like the goldrush here given how young this market is and how quickly things are changing in the US.
On May 14, 2018, the United States supreme court ruled the federal law prohibiting states from authorizing sports betting, protection act PASPA, unconstitutional. It is now up to individual states to decide if they want to authorize and regulate sports betting in their state. 18 states have fully legalized sports betting with 4 more passing bills just this year to legalize it (they aren’t operational yet).
Even though less than half of the US has legalized sports betting, the market cap was sitting pretty at $104.41 billion and expected to reach $155.49 billion by 2024 (this is an estimate, it was tough to nail down). This market is much larger if you include other global players like the UK, Australia, etc… who have already legalized sports betting. It’s clear that trends for this industry are going in the right direction and there’s still a strong opportunity for the first-mover advantage to take place.

The TL;DR is this, placing your bet on a site that has the most favorable odds results in you getting the highest return on that investment. Most people are doing one of these two things:

1. Nothing. Rather than checking to see where they can get the best returns, they are just using their core betting app and taking the odds they are given. Depending on the bet size, that leaves hundreds of dollars on the table.
2. Manually tracking the odds each betting site is offering and compiling the odds in a spreadsheet. This results in a lot of time spent switching between sites and transposing numbers.

1. Define Your Early Adopter: Your TAM is anyone who participates in sports betting, but I’d focus your efforts on finding people who acutely experience this pain. People who are spending a lot of time and money on sports betting have the most to lose. More specifically, hunt for people who’ve already created solutions to this problem themselves - like those using homegrown spreadsheets.
2. Look for CDIs: When looking for channels to find potential users I ask myself “where do my potential customers hang out?”. In this case, I’d look at online communities like Sports Book and Sports Betting subreddits. By simply asking the question, “How do you track betting lines?” you’ll be able to start conversations with potential users about unmet needs.
3. Create an Online Ad: I’d next test an offer to see if you can acquire potential users to sign up for your service. This can be as simple as creating a landing page (using marketing language from the conversations above) and run a paid ad to your target audience to collect emails.
4. Build a Wizard of Oz Test: Now that you have a list from running the ad above, I’d see if you can monetize it. Contact people and charge a small fee to run a small wizard of oz test - you could manually pull lines based on the bets they're watching and send it to them in a daily email. Or, there’s likely a no-code tool you could use to scrape the data from existing sites and organize it for them.

I can see a freemium model working for this as well, so you may not need to monetize immediately. One great option would be to charge the bookmakers a fee for every bet you send to their platform.
Challenges:

• Is there a problem worth solving? Although this idea logically makes sense, there are flags raised because no company has solved the problem yet. Typically, you can validate some form of demand based on market signals or other competitors, but this seems like a blue ocean (both a good and bad thing). Follow the plan above and you should be able to tell quickly if you’re on the right track.
• Can you build it? The technology to create a product as this exists. That said, it may be difficult to pull data from the major bookmaker’s sites. The fact that Smart Lines doesn’t work with any of the major bookmakers left me scratching my head and wondering why.
• Legal Challenges? Sports betting is highly regulated like most industries that are birthed from law changes. Even being associated with this space is likely going to create some challenges. I'm not an expert in this space, so it's hard to say exactly what legal challenges may arise, but getting accessing other bookmaker's data and facilitating the betting process are two great places to start your investigation.

Additional Opportunities:
There appears to be no shortage of companies trying to become the next big bookmakers. But, there’s plenty of opportunities this burgeoning market has opened up beyond just being a bookie. With this market in its infancy, you can bet (pun 100% intended) that there’s going to be a lot of room to expand your offerings. Whether it be sports betting tips, predictions, tools or even becoming a bookie yourself, there’s money to be made here.
While doing research on this, I found many people are struggling with keeping track of their bets and recording their results. This could be an easy addition to a solution to tracking betting lines. Here’s what some people said -

This is long, but I want to share my plans as I’ve been scrolling for months and see some of you are struggling with how to juggle COVID, friends/family living all over the US and globe, and in this case a genuine discomfort for receiving gifts/being the center of attention. So I'm currently a sophomore attending a very rigorous, top 25 US university. Basically, I had found myself going down a dark path when COVID/Lockdowns first started. As I am sure it did to most, being in a lockdown/isolated from the normal life that we have all grown accustomed to really had a negative impact on my mental health. My family has a history of depression on both sides and I could not admit it to myself at the time, but I was becoming depressed. I started smoking weed everyday, multiple times per day and stayed in bed constantly. I would just smoke, go on my laptop, xbox, or phone and numb myself from the feelings I was experiencing.
Once the lockdown started to ease up in the summer, I was 20 pounds heavier (in 2 months) and disgusted with myself whenever I was sober and looked in the mirror. Without any motivation, I continued my way down this dark spiraling path. I kept telling myself it would get better once I returned to college, but I got myself into more bad habits in the mean time. My "friend" became an illegal "online bookie" and I would spend my days just gambling and smoking. My concept of realness would get so numbed from the constant high, that I would be irrational with my gambling and not have any concept of how much I was actually losing (these sites use credits, so there are no up front deposits needed. The school threw me in a Best Western Motel for 12 days and I completely regressed back to my old ways. All I had for the next 12 days was weed I had brought (Even with the tbreak there was no way at that time I was going to get through 12 days of isolation with no weed at all. Call it dumb, but other people brought alcohol to keep them company, so to each their own) and the TV in my room. As well as the gambling that I decided to take up again, which resulted in me risking a total of $700 in those 12 days and pretty much breaking even at -$12. I was not allowed to go outside once. I had entered into that Best Western when it was around 75-80 degrees in the beginning of October, to 60-65 when I came out, but I didnt realize the gradual shift in temperature til the day I left.
The isolation and experience of that was horrible. I didnt have any symptoms of Covid besides a slight fever and loss of smell which I regained after a few days. These slight symptoms goes for any college student I have personally met that has contracted the disease, which is around 75-100. The symptoms of Covid werent the bad part for me, it was the complete tear of my mental health. I came out of that isolation in the same position I had started in before college started: Depressed, addicted to pot and gambling, and overweight.
The campus I returned to was the most restrictive place I could ever imagine. I got written up for throwing a football on the quad, and being in a 4 person hall when there were 5 people there at the time within the first few weeks. There was nothing to do and I felt completely lost about how I could turn my life around.
This had such a huge toll on me and my habits got worse and worse. I started smoking the most I had ever in my entire life. I would wake up and get high and immediately start placing bets. I had met some guys who were big spenders and I would start to match their spending habits while I was completely fried and not involved in the reality of it all. I knew it was really getting bad when I had to call my parents for $1.3k out of my savings account. I admitted my issues gambling and they told me to get help from someone at school, but wired me the money too. I had thought that by calling them they would take me out of this place and tell me to come home. A few weeks later I was feeling so shit that I was throwing down the most expensive bets ever cause in the back of my head it was "well, you're either gonna be making some nice money or definitely going home this time". Obviously that was foolish and dumb, but thats the way Ive looked back and assessed my thought process during that time and my therapist agrees.
Upon coming home, my family had been supportive and I have never felt better. Hitting a personal rock bottom has shifted my perspective on life and I can gladly say I have been seeing a therapist for the first time in my life these past 6 weeks I have been home, and I also have not bet or smoked once. I am happy to say that I also have been going to the gym 6 times a week, and have never been in better shape before.
With this all being said (sorry for such a long post XD), how do these schools expect us students to be okay in the conditions they have set up for us? I know I am not the only one who has experienced these sort of things this semester, yet might be one of the only ones to admit these problems I have dealt with. Although I am doing great now, I really feel this whole situation is fucked and that these schools should be exposed for the non-caring businesses they truthfully are. They only care about the money we pay them regardless of the experience they provide, and for me thats 38k (76k a year!) for a 2.6 GPA (haven't even told my parents yet, had a 3.4 after last year), deepened mental health issues, and unneeded stress.

• Can you build it? The technology to create a product as this exists. That said, it may be difficult to pull data from the major bookmaker’s sites. The fact that Smart Lines doesn’t work with any of the major bookmakers left me scratching my head and wondering why.

Apologies if this is a waste of time but, outside of boring my friends, I think this may be the best forum for my conundrum.
I'm a long time lurker on here and enjoy reading the strange experiences of others, but until recently, nothing's happened to me that would warrant more than a polite shrug.
The following may fit this criteria too, and may just be a grieving grandson trying to maintain a relationship severed in corporeality. It doesn't feel like this to me. Grandad Joe
Before I reveal the private life of a private man to total strangers, I should ease my conscience by putting things in a bit of context.

There are boxes of bills, bank statements, and mundane letters which even I'm not interested in. There are also red herrings. It was a list entitled "Preparation Dates":

The rest of the items in this box were in decent condition but one piece of paper about half the size of A5 (is A6 a thing?!) was jaundiced with faded writing apart from some crude smiley faces scribbled on it. As the text was so faded, if I was working at a quicker pace, this could have been discarded. However, I was in a late evening, post-kebab stupor, which made me linger on this scrap of paper longer than usual. I noticed the smiley faces first. These proto-emojis were either happy or sad. But unlike what you are probably visualising now, there was something off about them. The happy ones had smiles which went far too high up the face. If this was a real face, they would be above the cheekbones. The sad ones were similar in that frowns were so elongated that they went off the bottom of the circular face.
I put this down to artistic ability at the time, and for all I know now, this could still be the case. I don't think it is but I'm still bumbling my way through everything. It was only after looking at the faces that I started making out the text. I still can't make out everything, but it looks like a list of dates. Due to how faded they are, the dates were most likely written long before the faces, though the faces themselves are of differing opacity and ink whilst the dates are more consistent.
The only additional insight I can give on this is I don't think the dates are written by my Grandad. After going through the amount of stuff I have done these past few weeks, I can pick out his handwriting instantly, and the dates don't match his at all. It could maybe be him purposefully disguising it, but that's all I can tell you. As for if the faces are his, I can't add anything of value here.
There are 16 dates listed, but I can only clearly make out six. The first one I am confident on is in 1962, where Joe would have been in his early 30s, the latest being at the turn of this century, when he was a retired man. As the dates aren't in chronological order, I can't say with confidence if the other dates are before or after these. The only other observation is that, for North American or East Asian readers, the dates are in DD/MM/YYYY format. They are as follows:

As you can see, I've added the expressions on the faces for each date. These could mean nothing, but any assistance would be really appreciated.
Finally, the title is another headscratcher. What is being prepared for?
The Letters
Not long after finding the dates page, I opened up a box full of letters. A lot of them were sweet ones from friends or other members of my family. There was one that was from my Grandad himself to my Auntie on her wedding day which broke me a little. As it's here I assume it's a draft or a copy or maybe even unsent. Me putting this here is as much a mental reminder for me to ask her about it as it is to add colour to the story.
But around half was correspondence from a man who signs off only as "Your Friend". At least I'm 90% sure the person's male. But I'll get to that later. I'm also 99% sure he's American and I'll get to that too.
These letters are weird. My best mental salvation that I've come up with so far is that it's a strange game or some collaborative piece of fiction. It feels a stretch but not as much as what they're talking about. The other problem with letters is that they're never explicit. It's frustrating reading correspondence where the subject is something that the participants know a lot about and you know nothing. Though maybe my biggest annoyance with this is nothing is dated. Isn't that the first thing you're supposed to write? For Joe & his "Friend", apparently not. Some piles felt chronologically consistent whilst others not.
One nice part of the letters is the insight it gives into my Grandad. Rather than just pure streams of clandestine nonsense, the letters are peppered with friendly interactions and sometimes even jokes. Helpfully, "My Friend" (YF from now on) sometimes copies an annotated facsimile of Joe's original letter so I can see both sides. YF uses incorrect spelling like "color" and throws a z in a word where it should be a s. So if he's not American, he was at least taught in an American school. There is also some cross-cultural anti-British banter in there, which if from the mouth of a stand-up comedian would be eye rolling or pedestrian but from two old pen pals is genuinely sweet. Unfortunately, none of the facsimiled letters I've read to date have retorts to this so I can't verify my suspicions on YF's origin. What I'd give for a fumbled aside about baseball being worse than cricket or how the US is still a British colony in my Grandad's eyes.
YF's way with words is a bit lacking compared to my Grandad's. Especially in the later letters, he describes a lot of third parties as "pussies" and talks a lot about perceived antagonists "sucking his dick". That's all I really have to say YF is a man. I'm aware that these are expressions and could be uttered by anyone, and that's why I'm not going above 90%.
As for the meaty content of the letters, I haven't found an elegant way of summarising them. The letters seem to contain an overarching feeling of dread with both men feeling surprised they are still alive and discussing practical plans for the future both on a micro and a macro level. There's roughly 14 pages on the quickest and most efficient way to burn varying types of tree; even more on the comparative thickness of skin (literal, not figurative) of different mammals; and swathes of discussion about governmental process which is both over my head and too boring for reproduction.
The bits that stick with me though are the odd digressions from the bulk of the text which drag me out of what I'm reading and make me go cold. YF talks a lot about the "swarm" but never with enough clarity than you can grasp. A phrase of his he's used dozens of times is how things "pull his nails of chalk" and I can find no other use of this online apart from his. In the middle of technical instruction there are allusions to the appearance of something: "lying eyes"; "smiles too big"; "incorrect face", "accurate hands", "no nails". The first few I thought was maybe him writing about an ex-wife but the rest are just bizarre.
I've not been as shaken by YF's words as I should because he's an unknown person. Though a probable friend of my Grandad, I still don't know him. As mentioned above there are a few bits that get to me but it's mainly Joe's words that seem to chill me as I know him, I loved him, and he was a sane man. Most of his letters are unemotional too but every so often there will be something off-kilter like "How much is a daughter worth to them? Do they understand?". I hope it's just a rhetorical question about a government policy but my Grandad never spoke like that, this feels literal.
So far, the letter that eats at me the most is one written to my Grandma. They lived together at this house decades before her death, so the fact that it's here makes me think it was sent to her whilst she was living here. Either that or she kept hold of it.. Again, it's not datemarked because my Grandad enjoys annoying me from beyond the grave. It's mainly pretty words about missing her and hating the place he's in. After the sign off though, he writes "If you can see a person on the tracks, and a train coming to hit them, but you know your words cannot save them, do you tell? Or is your gift of ignorance the best they can hope for? What if you knew your words would have a tiny chance? But telling them would forsake others. Is it arrogance and vanity to help or dereliction to not? I know I said I would not talk to you about this but if not to you, then to whom?"
In the mouth, or pen, of someone else, I'd see this as whimsy. That's not my Grandad. He was good with words but he wasn't reckless with them. This must mean something but I don't know what.
The Mirrors
I’ve been wrestling whether to mention this at all, as I’ve been trying to keep calm & present the facts but I need to talk about it to someone or I think I might crack (if I haven’t already). Despite working until the early hours at my Grandad’s house, I’ve yet to sleep over there. I’m not superstitious about staying in a dead man’s house or anything; it’s something else.
My Grandad’s house has a mirror in every room apart from the attic. This isn’t particularly strange apart from in the kitchen (who has a mirror in their kitchen?). But there’s something not right about these mirrors.
Do you know that feeling when you walk past a mirror & you think you catch something in your peripheral vision? Well this keeps happening in my Grandad’s house.
The first time I really remember it was on my fourth day there. I was turning off the lights before I left and as I got to the front door, I realised I forgot the pilot light above the oven (which I turned on earlier to make dinner). To walk back to the kitchen, I had to walk back through the hallway and past the living room.
The living room had its door ajar enough so I could see through to the mirror above the mantelpiece. The lights were off but the twilight gave the room enough lumination that it wasn’t pitch black. I didn’t even intend to look into the room, I just gave a casual glance to the side.
If I wasn’t so tired, and if my look was anything more than a glance, I’d swear that what I saw was a figure. A braver man would have investigated, but that’s not me, especially after spending a day in an attic reading things that were unnerving me anyway. I ran immediately back, ignoring the pilot light, and got out of the house as quick as I could.
I didn’t go back the next day but managed to persuade myself that I was being silly & that my mind was playing tricks on me. But it keeps happening. Not every day, but most, and sometimes more than once a day. And not just in the living room mirror, it happens all over. It’s never enough that I ever focus on it, and I never see movement, just glimpses of a static figure.
Since the first time, I’d not fled the house when it happened. Instead, I’d rush back to the mirrorless attic which has become my safe space, despite being filled with these boxes of dread. I didn’t know what to do any more. Fifty times a day, I thought I should forget it all and shred all the documents. But I couldn’t. My Grandad’s voice is in my head urging me on & I need to finish this.
Yesterday morning (I couldn’t face doing it at night), I went through the house and removed every mirror. One of the reasons I’m here anyway is to clear all the furniture so I lied to myself that’s what I was doing. It wasn’t. I haven’t removed anything else. I just don’t want to see another reflection I can’t explain.
On the way out last night, I walked past the living room again. The door was ajar again. There was no mirror. This doesn’t make sense, but in the void where the mirror should be, I think I saw a reflection of a figure again. And unlike the previous times, where I couldn’t make out any features, this time I think it was smiling.
I can’t believe I came back again today but I did. I want to know what this all is. If this is connected to the dates and the letters or if it’s all in my head. I still have lots to go through so I'll try my best to order this better in the next update I give. In the meantime, please let me know of any thoughts, especially on that weird date thing.

Between writing the above and finding the confidence to post it, I was rummaging around some boxes that I've not looked at yet and I found tapes. VHS tapes. The writing on the tape is alphanumeric code. I never saw my Grandad with a camera so between that and the codes, I don't think these are home videos.
I don't know what I want to be on them. The voyeur in me wants something strange but the grandson, and more importantly the coward, just wants them to be football highlights or old Westerns.
